Child Abuse:

Parents who are unprepared for the responsibility of parenthood,physically or psychologically,tend to turn towards physical punishments when disciplining their children or when things do not happen the way they want.Acts of aggression against children are termed as "child abuse".This abuse many forms:physical,emotional and sexual,
Physical Abuse:is a non-accidental abuse to a child.It includes injuries which are caused by severe discipline,severe beating or shaking;bruising,burns,fractures or dislocations,attempted suffocation,or strangulation and death.Physical abuse of children is considered culturally acceptable in Pakistan and commonly prevalent in homes,schools,work places and institutions.
Emotional Abuse:is the failure of a person to meet the basic needs of affection and comfort of the child including the isolation of the child and snubbing:insulting and terrorizing.Emotional abuse is the least known,but very widespread from of child abuse.
Sexual Abuse:is the imposition of sexual acts oe acts with sexual overtones.It includes indecent touching,penetration,sexual torture a child and showing him pornographic material.Although sexual abuse of children is considered a taboo subject,it is widespread with estimate indicating that 15-25% of children in Pakistan are affected by various forms and intensities.
